Neurotoxins FAQ

What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin?

Botox is just the most popular due to it being the name brand toxin.

Dysport is a smaller molecule that is known to kick in sooner, have more spread, and lasts longer on some patients.

Xeomin (made by the same Dr. who developed Botox). It is considered a more purified form. This is the ‘clean’ tox and less likely to build a resistance or tolerance to it.

Why should I book a two week follow up?

Two weeks is when your tox is at its peak. Coming in at two weeks allows the provider to ensure you are happy with your results, if you are unhappy it will allow the provider to do a touch up and make notes on what to do for your next visit.

What to expect after treatment.

When you get tox, it wears off like a bell curve. At two weeks it is the tip of the curve, then it slowly starts to wear off after that. Also, some toxins might not last as long as others depending on the person, lifestyle also plays a role in how long it lasts.
